After months of discussions and research we have finally set our trip itinerary.
On Wednesday 15th July 2009 we fly out of Melbourne. After a brief stop-over in Auckland New Zealand we head off for San Francisco – a total flight time of 17 odd hours!
We will be spending three nights in San Francisco before flying to Las Vegas. We will be in Sin City for 3 nights and then it’s off to San Antonio. This is where the CHERUBS International Conference will be held and we are staying for 5 nights.
Next stop is New York City. We will be catching up with Julian’s cousin Craig and his family while we are in the Big Apple. After 5 nights we will say goodbye to the city life and head north to the small town of Eagle River in Wisconsin. We will be staying with Danielle’s penpal (of almost 25 years!) Trista and her family.
Six nights later and we fly back to San Francisco for our last night in the US.
Another massive flight and we will be back home (no doubt exhausted) on Sunday 9th August 2009.
We are very excited about our trip but sad we can’t take the kids with us. Maybe next time.

Hey guys, enjoy the trip! Sounds pretty jam packed.
A little word of advise in San Francisco, if you're keen to do the Alcatraz thing check to see if tickets are available as early as possible.
I left it too late in '99 so had to settle for a "drive by" on the ferry :-)
